Expert Forum: Pete Teo

When it comes to Malaysian production, not many people will know about it. Likewise, when I mention Pete Teo is coming for a talk in a online forum, some of them actually asked who is Pete Teo. Well, I don't mind posting who Pete Teo is but I think it's not necessary to do so. If you want to know more about him, you may go to the 15Malaysia site and look for his profile.

As mentioned before, Pete Teo was invited by Taylor's College in conjunction of the Expert Forum program. And he was there that day, to tell us about his latest 15Malaysia project.

Even though he is a prominent figure, he hardly has his 'arrogant' look on him (if you understand what I am trying to say). He is a friendly and funny person, and tried to make this forum as casual as possible.

During the forum, he chose a few short films from the 15Malaysia project and play it one by one. After each short films he will have his session with the students, telling us about the process and the meaning behind some of the short films. Students will take this opportunity to question him about the film, to have a better understanding about it.

At the end of the forum, there was a Q&A session. At this is the point where students start asking him all sort of questions, some of them even asked if he is afraid that he might offend the law. Pete Teo managed to answer every question and I believe they are satisfied with his answers.

The forum started around 10am with a book review then followed with Pete Teo's 15Malaysia short film. The whole forum ended at noon.
